Major League Soccer NY HQ

Bringing the energy of the world's game into the workplace through a custom digital experience ecosystem.

Major League Soccer envisioned a headquarters that would celebrate the league’s history while reflecting its ambition for the future. The new workplace brings together employees, clubs, partners, and guests in an environment that combines enterprise technology with the energy and storytelling of match day.

TAD partnered with MLS from strategy through implementation, designing a technology ecosystem that scales across more than 80 meeting rooms while powering dynamic digital moments throughout the building. We worked alongside MLS and our technology partners to create a tailored platform that combines live league data, branded media, and workplace communications into a cohesive environment that remains simple to manage.

The Challenge:

MLS expanded its technology footprint fivefold while setting out to create a headquarters that reflects the league’s momentum and ambition.

The workplace needed to bring together live scores, statistics, league news, historical moments, campaigns, and corporate communications across a wide variety of digital canvases. Every display needed to present relevant information while maintaining a consistent visual language, regardless of its size or proportion.

Multiple stakeholder groups, evolving project priorities, and complex architectural conditions added another layer of coordination. The solution also needed to remain intuitive for day-to-day operations as the league continued to grow.

The Approach:

TAD started by understanding how MLS creates, manages, and shares information across the organization.

Our team mapped user workflows, content ownership, media assets, and data sources to establish a framework that could unify live APIs, branded content, workplace communications, and enterprise systems within a single platform.

We also wanted the client to experience the design before committing to it. TAD recreated key elements of the solution within our own office, giving stakeholders the opportunity to interact with the platform, validate decisions, and refine functionality before implementation. This process ensured every decision aligned with the client’s goals and operational priorities.

The Solution:

A standardized enterprise AV platform provides consistent collaboration across more than 80 meeting rooms while supporting future expansion. Neat, Q-SYS, and Apple TV establish a familiar technology foundation that integrates with the client’s existing workflows.

TAD worked alongside  Zennaptic  to shape a customized content management platform that automatically aggregates live league data, branded media, campaigns, and multiple API feeds. The platform assembles and distributes content across displays of varying sizes and proportions through an intuitive interface, reducing manual effort while keeping information timely and relevant.

The architecture demanded the same level of precision. A signature LED installation surrounding the central stair required multiple design iterations and custom fabrication to preserve the architect’s vision while delivering the desired visual impact.

Every component contributes to a connected workplace where technology supports the brand, the people, and the day-to-day operation of the headquarters.

The Impact:

The headquarters provides MLS with a flexible digital foundation that continues to evolve alongside the league. Teams have already adapted the platform to support major moments including the FIFA World Cup and Leagues Cup, extending the value of the original investment without significant redevelopment.

The client praised the usability of the customized content management platform and the simplicity of introducing new campaigns, live data, and branded messaging throughout the building. Collaborative spaces have also seen increased use, supported by technology that feels intuitive and reliable.

This project demonstrates TAD’s approach to every engagement. We start by understanding the client’s objectives, workflows, and aspirations. We then bring together the right partners, technologies, and ideas to deliver a solution tailored to those needs. The result is a headquarters that reflects Major League Soccer today and provides the flexibility to support what comes next.

“TAD helped translate MLS’ growth, ambition, and future into a physical and digital experience environment.”
