Nine Orchard

Old World Hospitality meets New World Tech

TAD applied our strategy and AV design services, along with our user experience design and software expertise to the recently restored Nine Orchard hotel in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. The historic building serves as a landmark of Dimes Square and its revival is a true demonstration of craftsmanship. We equipped the elevated hotel and culinary destination with hospitality and AV solutions for the empathetic, user-centric design throughout.

The design and development team behind the restoration possessed a meticulous eye for detail, making intentional decisions at every step of the user journey. This included everything from the aesthetic choices, such as custom manufactured Ojas speakers and amps with custom designed connectivity plates and speaker mounts, to the system choices, including intuitive home and consumer platforms used for music and streaming, and effortless support and service features available via text, phone or interactive TV.

While each amenity and restaurant space is designed with its own character, the building is united by a Dante based audio system, virtualized control, and a centralized IT, Security, and AV control room.

The result of the restoration is an elegant “home away from home” hotel experience with the old-world charm of the Jarmulowsky Bank building and the best contemporary technology has to offer.
